Front tires???
I have some chrome repos on my car now and want to put my stock rims which I had powder coated back on. I have Nitto dr's 305/30/18 mounted on the stock rear rim but was wondering what tire size/and brand I should mount on the front 17"rim?

Has anyone tried Kumho Ecsta 4X KU22 for the fronts? They are priced a little cheaper then the others? The Nitto nto5 tire you mentioned is that the same tire as the Nitto 555's?

No, guys have run wider than that up front without sticking out... the wheel offsets prevent that from happening
The NT05 is a MUCH better tire than the 555
The 4X is an all-season and not something I would run on my Corvette, especially paired with drag radials... do you have the 555R or the NT05R?

That doesn't mean anything... Nitto makes two drag radials: the NT05R and the NT555R. Which do you have?

Both the NT555 and NT05 are available in proper sizes for your front wheels, that why I'm asking which drag radials you have out back (555 fronts will match 555R rears, NT05 fronts will match NT05R rears). If you don't care about matching the appearance, the NT05 is the better tire.

They are Nitto555r's in back. Do you know if the regular Nitto 555 runs a little tall like there drag radials do? The Nittto 555dr is a little taller then other tires in the same size.

im in the same boat. want some new tires for my 03z. have 555 on my 69 camaro(285/30/20 and 235/35/19) but am not very impressed with their performance. Ive autocrossed it several times(full c6z51 brakes etc/protouring car) and would like something better but not priced like michelins. But that may not be possible. Idk.

Thanks bkh. You would not happen to have a side profile pic. I love how the niitto 555r fills in the rear fenderwell but would not like the front tire to have that taller height. I guess I will look up specs on how tall front stock tire is and the nittto 555 for the front are.
