Bridgestone Potenza S-04 or Michelin PSS
I'm looking at buying aftermarket wheels for my '02 Z06 ... going with 18x9.5 front and 19x10.5 rears (same widths as stock Z06 wheels, just +1" dia).
So I'm looking at either the Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position or Michelin Pilot Super Sport for tires (265/35-18 front, 295/30-19 rear). These sizes in these two brands gives the exact same revs/mile as the OEM Goodyear F1s.
The Bridgestones are about $300 less for the set. Are they pretty good tires for just spirited street driving? Which one would give the best ride, be quieter and wear better?

Unfortunately, everybody's butt G-meter and NVH tolerance is different, so you won't get much objective data here, and people with either tire are usually happy with their results. As far as wear: most here age out their street tires before they wear them out.
I'll be buying the Super Sport for my next set of tires, personally, regardless of the $300 difference
I assume you've seen the Car & Driver results?

rjwz28 - thanks for that info, and the link to the C/D tire testing. I Googled and found the whole article in case anyone else is comparing tires.

Based on the C/D test results, I don't think you could go wrong with the Bridgestone S-04s or the Michelin PSS.
From the research I've done, the Michelin PSS have a slightly better wear rating than the S-04s (300 vs 280) and also weigh slightly less by about 3 lbs in the sizes I'm looking at.
