It adds additional cowl clearance for people that need it. For example, if your installing a FAST 102mm intake on your C5.

I missed the price on the driveshaft. Do you recommend aluminum or carbon fibre for racing assuming I don't have an unlimited budget? Thanks. Jerry

I would recommend the aluminum. The carbon fiber shafts just don't tend to handle the extended heat very well. This is due to the makeup of carbon fiber. If your not familiar with it, it is a combination of woven fibers and epoxy. Over time the heat weakens the epoxy and then the shaft will either break or begin to separate. With aluminum, all of these things are a non-issue.

They are a few pounds lighter than stock, but the biggest advantage is the strength difference. Price is in the enclose link on the original post on our website.
