Wheel Gurus Help: Chrome or Polished With Clear Coat Speedline Wheels?
Yes, I searched and I know GM never made a chrome wheel. I'm just trying to tell if these are potentially worth restoring.
I'm trying to figure out what wheels came on my 2004 Z (non Z16) when I got it. Originally I thought these were chrome replicas since they have blank center caps. However, I was moving them this weekend and saw they have the Speedline stamp on the back.
I'm trying to figure out how I would tell if they are chromed or if they are polished with clear coat?
I tried getting some close ups of the wear on the wheels to see if it shows chrome wear or cleat coat wear. I just don't know enough on wheels to tell the difference and there isn't a definitive thread on here how to tell.

Melting Slicks
Those wheels are chrome......and that's definitely pitting in the chrome. I'm guessing someone had some OEM wheels chromed and used a replica centercap.
You're in So-Cal....take them to Cal-Chrome and have them stripped and re-chromed
