A longtime client of ours came to us recently looking to add some more power to his already stout C5 Z06. Last year he built a 700rwhp ZR1 with us, so it was time to give the C5Z some love as well. The car originally had a C5R 427c.i. motor installed by Lingenfelter so the foundation for power was already under the hood. After talking with him about what he wanted to accomplish with the C5, we decided that larger headers, intake manifold, throttle body and a VR bump stick was the route we were going to take to extract some more power out of the 427.



The carbon valve covers and Fast intake really set off this C5Z engine bay.



We installed the shift light in his air vents for a clean look that was still really visible while rowing the gears.



Modifications Installed

• VR Cam Kit + with Kaotik Camshaft
• ARH 2” Longtube Header System w/ Catted X-Pipe - Special C5 Z06 Headers w/ LS7 Flange
• FAST 102mm LS7 Intake Manifold w/ OEM Fuel Rail Kit
• Nick Williams 102mm DBW Throttle Body
• Raptor Performance Shift Light

The result was 572.24whp / 523.21wtq out of this NA 427!

Yeah, and the 2 Friends I know of who have them, both leak after awhile. Don't know if its the manufacturing process or if they warp over time but both cars (1 a 900 HP Turbo C6Z, the other a 1 of 7 C6Z RS - both Katech engines) leak small amounts of oil from those valve covers
