Hey so I have a 2001 z06 and I put an aftermarket steering wheel with no airbag in. But now I have an airbag light on which will not allow the car to pass the state inspection. I dont have the other steering wheel anymore so I cant switch it out. Any suggestions on how to turn the airbag light off? Thanks

Hate to state the obvious, but find and install a factory wheel at least for the inspection? Unsure if a tuner could omit it, but even if they could, they might not be able to legally disable a safety feature.
You should have the air bag for whenever you sell anyway. If you disable it and the next buyer gets hurt due to no air bag... personal lawsuit could be on the horizon.

You can wire in a 2 ohm resistor (or 2 x 1 ohm resistors in series) to trick the car into thinking the airbag is there. You can pick this up at radio shack:
