Default Rear Fender Plasti dip on my 01Z

I did a lot of reading on the forum and then researched the product before I finally decided to do it. Results were pretty good considering the fact I'm 21 with no paint experience and did it by myself in 2 hours. I believe if you take the time and make sure everything is lined up and straight that it can turn out very good and a cheaper way then vinyl or paint. I also bought a pinstripe kit from auto zone to keep the edges straight because when I peeled the tape off I didn't have a razor on me to cut it flush. Let me know what you think

Left side is after peeling the tape and then the right is the pin strip tape from auto zone

Yes I know my lines are perfect. This was a trial. Plan to redo this weekend.

Looks solid, but grab some of the super thin painters tape, 1/4" or 1/8", and run your line first then come back and mask off. That line will be much better

I did the same thing on mine prob 3-4 years ago.. many washes and still looks great. the key is to lay down one even coat pretty quickly and peel the tape line as quickly as possible while the plasti dip is still wet. will leave a nice sharp edge.

I'm glad to hear it has lasted so long. I plan to redo mine this weekend and take more time and make sure to get those quick/even coats. Thanks for the advice!

I would try the plasti dip first just to make sure you are 100% sure you will like the look and then if it turns out really good you can keep it or decide to paint/vinyl it. Post any pics if you do try it! Also peels off the paint super easy and doesnt leave any residue or damage to your Z
