Default Will a C6 Z06 exhaust fit on my 2002 Z06?

I just got my 02 Z06 today and it has an SLP Loudmouth exhaust with a custom H-pipe and Borla headers. The exhaust is too loud for my family. Notice how I said "family". I want to head out around 10pm tonight and new if I started the car it more than likely wake up my boys and couple month old daughter. So, I decided to stay in tonight. This has made my mind up on swapping out the exhaust. The other thing I am a little worried about is passing emissions in WI. I came across an exhaust from a 2008 Z06 with the mild to wild remote. I like knowing I can be stealthy when leaving and then open them for the wild sound. Below is the link to the CL ad. Will this work? I obviously want to keep my headers. Any other suggestions?

Thank you!

It will fit whit some minor modifications. You need to weld air injection fittings on to the exhaust manifolds (if you need to pass smog check), and grind down a few of the flanges for clearance. Madmatt and redzMonty have good write ups on it.

No - the C6Z axleback will not work on a C5. If you want to keep your headers, you're better off looking for a stock C5Z Ti system, or Corsa exhaust.

Put the stock C5 Z06 catback back on the car, I love mine.

The C6 exhaust swap requires cutting the floorpan in the trunk for fitment

I love the way my C5Z exhaust sounds with headers
