Bridgestones 760's work well for me. Good ride, good price, last a while. Just bought my second set. They may not be the best for hooking up in a race.

Step up to 275 in the front and you'll have more options. I just got a new set of Continental extremecontact dw installed for around 1k

I went with Nitto NT-05's (275/295) last summer and have been very pleased with them...

I've been happy with my Bridgestone RE760's. Smooth, and quiet. They grip well, but I don't track my Z06. Some have said if you intend on pushing the car to its very limits you might want to spend twice as much and go with Michelins.

I agree with bridgestone 760--likely for stock sizes the best riding tire money will buy--alittle under 800.00-mounted balanced out the door at discount tire--if your going to drag race from a standing start--have him give you 2 car lengths head start--call it the "Bridgestone start"

I have these too - VERY impressed w/ the combo of grip/wear/price

I really wouldn't consider another tire unless I decided I would avoid driving in rain COMPLETELY and step up to the NT-01, or if I felt like spending an extra $4-500 (unlikely) and get the Michelin PSS or PS2 whatever it is that fits.

The RE760's are not befitting of a Z06 - this has been discussed numerous times, they ARE NOT geared toward the performance level of the Z. An auto convertible w/ the 2.73 rear end? sure. Z06? NO.

Same price as the Nitto NT05 I see zero reason to choose the inferior tire from a performance standpoint.

FWIW - grip in the rain is fine w/ the NT05's as long as you don't drive like a moron, they are not suited for temps below 45-50 degrees though

Also no problem with 275s in the front and going to 305s on the rear. Adds more to the selection.

I'm not seeing a 305/35-18 or 305/30-19 NT05 on Nitto's website

Continental Extreme Contact DS are a great value spirited driving tire.
I see that Goodyear has brought back the GS-D3. I had those on my C4. They have been my favorite tire on a Vette.
When I next need tires that is what I will buy, now that they are again available.

Meant to add that you can go up to 315's both front and back without fitment issues if your Z is not lowered.
The wider you go in the front the more the tire is prone to roll over and suffer from premature edge wear if you corner hard. I have had no edge wear issues at 295 up front, but it starts at 305 and accelerates at 315

That depends on wheel width

If you install a wider wheel, you won't have that problem with the tire rolling over, but you'll have more clearance issues

Also found the continental tires are lighter weight than most others in that size?? Good for un-sprung weight reduction!

Everyone has a different opinion but I have fallen in love with my Bridgestone RE11 tires. They provide all the confidence you need in your tires. They are priced a little higher than some others but you get what you pay for!

I'll agree with this. I can't floor it in 1st gear or it starts going sideways and just loses traction.

I know they are R-comps but I drove around with Nitto NT555RII's for awhile and that was awesome. They hooked instantly and I couldn't spin going into 2nd at all.

My next set I will be eyeing the NT-05's.

Has anyone considered these for the rears. Michelin makes a direct replacement for the fronts in PS2 but the only option in stock sizes for the rear are these. I have not seen many comments here about these.
