Need help...what to do with wheels?
Ok folks I bought an extra set of OEM C5Z wheels for my MY Z06. I am either going to have them powdercoated satin black or chrome plated. Of course I will get matching lug nuts whichever way I go. What do you think I should do?

I had the chrome like your 1st pick when I bought my yellow Z. I really like the look of the bling. The black wheels have grown on me over the years, but chrome is still my 1st choice. However because I track the car now, no chrome or powder coated wheels. Just OEM Z rims.

Yep the chrome is a hands-down winner to my eyes.

I'm not a fan of chrome, the plating just looks cheap to me... however I do love a polished wheel... I am not a fan of solid black wheels either, in my opinion there needs to be some contrast to separate the wheel from the tire, like a polished lip or something to that effect... I have seen some gloss black wheels with a body color matched pinstripe around the lip of the wheel to add some contrast that I actually liked, that might look nice... appearance mods are subjective so do whatever you like best, what we think really doesn't matter

I am not a fan of the black rim look on cars; to me it looks like the car was built without hubcaps or you're driving on 4 spare tire rims. I hope to God it is a fad that will fade away but, then again, maybe I am just showing my age.

I would do neither. I'd have them stripped and polished. Not as harsh and glarey as chrome, not as dull and overdone as black. Polished always looks good, just a little more work to keep looking nice.

Black wheels look like the car is driving around on spare tires/ wheels.
I really don't understand the trend. If you have a black car with black wheels, now that is REALLY bad, the absolute wrong combination. The CONTRAST between a black car and chrome wheels is outstanding. I basically hate black wheels on any color car.
Of course, that is just my opinion, which is always correct!
Yea, bling of course;
Would you want a dull black Rolex? Nuff said

Furthermore;
I have read that the new trend next year will be the cats’ *** for a while.
Black edges where the tire meets the wheel. The spokes will be exact replicas of yellow corn on the cob. Of course if you want to go way high end, white corn on the cob, yum yum.
Then, to top the entire thing off, a heavy dripping clear coat to look like they are covered in butter.

I like the chrome but here in the midwest is a job to keep them from pitting and flaking so i'm done with chrome, I'm not a fan of all black either
maybe a deep grey or something?
I know this is a different wheel but i like the look of that color on yellow
i've been thinking of doing this but have them clear coated so i dont have to polish them all the time
