New guy intro,
Hello all,
last week I traded my 95 vert in on a 2004 Z06 with only 10k miles. She's nearly perfect and I love her. Everything works (which means a little more when you own a C4 I've gathered) and I had no idea a completely stock car could be this fun! I'm leaving her as is for now, with only a couple small modifications, because she is so nearly new after I gave her a few hours of attention cleaning over the weekend. I'll get a C6 shifter and maybe some sort of better air intake system. I just wanted to say hi and introduce my new lady. The C4 forums have been so helpful and I'm sure the C5 sections will be just as useful. Sorry for the not so great photo's from the evening I picked her up. She doesn't even have any rock chips on her anywhere besides one on the license filler. Does anyone know the car? I can't be sure but I believe she cam from Florida but there is also another state smog type test results in with the paperwork.

Congrats and welcome to the forum. You certainly picked the best color. I can say that because I own the twin to your car.....

Good find, nice. I'd ditch that antenna, but yes; the reception even in town suffers. That said I do not use my radio.

Welcome, the shifter is the only thing I would change, leave the antenna, and the stock air filter works just fine until you go nuts with mods.

Thank you everyone for the kind welcoming comments. All Z's are sexy, whatever the color. I wasn't really looking when this car basically chose me. Then I drove it and that sealed the deal. I didn't let it out of my sight until I was leaving with her. I've had time to detail her and I can't find a single paint chip anywhere on her. I love this car and I'm still making excuses to drive...anywhere.

Congratulations on your new girl. Awesome cars for sure. I just crossed the 10k mile mark on my '04Z last weekend. (Bought the car two years ago with 6900 miles.)

I have a shorty antenna myself. Works great, although ive never put the stock one on. To be honest, i use one of those FM reciever/transmitters that takes over a radio station and had a headphone jack most of the time but when i do listen to the radio it works fine.

From one new guy to another - welcome! Love your new car...looks like you got a good one. After some internal debating w/ myself, I ended up going with black on my '03. Have loved every minute of it - and you will too.
Cheers!
