I bought a piece of black metal gutter screen and black door guards from the auto parts store a 2 part epoxy to hold everything together.

I did find on this forum...but really the hardest part was trying to shape the molding around the vent. You have to snip the back of the molding where it makes sharp turns. I used a thin piece of string looped it thru the vent and tied it to my driver side mirror nice and tight. Then epoxy into place let it sit overnight. That's pretty much the how to...

Good job !

Looks way better than the "hole" in the side of the car.
I did mine years ago and still love the "finished" look since it matches the front screens.
