Default C5 Z06 MAF Location with VR?

I have a Vararam VR-B2 intake on my C5Z, but the previous owner didn't opt for the "Powerduct" when he bought and installed it.

I see the Powerducts are on sale for $75, and even if they offer no performance gain I feel they look much better than the stock piece.

My question is where should the MAF be located, before the snorkel, or after it? My car has a cam, and will soon have heads. I've seen posts saying it needs to be as close as possible to the TB for a H/C/I car. I've also seen pictures where the MAF below the snorkel on vehicles putting out more power than mine is.

Is there any definitive answer?

mine is after the powerduct and before the throttle body I think that is where the instructions said to put it or maybe it was just easier

Mine is currently between the intake box and powerduct.. That is how I interpreted the install directions. My buddy has his MAF right before the TB. My car with just the vr, powerduct and Borla stinger put down 390whp on a Dynojet, pulls freakishly fast on the roads too

VR, MAF, Air bridge, Nitrous plate , throttle body

A bend after the mass air is better than a bend before the mass air.

Sounds like I'll be keeping the MAF before the power duct. That's how it's installed on my car currently anyways! Thanks for all the input!!

Good idea I have yet to install mine w/ duct and haven't thoroughly researched relocating or keeping the MAF at original spot. Other than this my car has SLP loudmouths going on too.
