Default C5 Z06 market value development

Hi,

I live in Germany and I'm interested in a '04 Z06. Since the $ is pretty strong to the € I'm not sure to wait or not. This also depends on the pricec development of C5 Z06. Hence, my question: does the market price of low mileage (<30.000 mls) 2004 non-commemorative ones decrease, is it stable or does it already go up?

Hi Oliver,
The 2004 Z06 is still depreciating.......
Kelly Blue Book has it @ $26,354 in excellent shape

I would have to agree with khartford, the market in general for a C5 is still depreciating, that goes for the Z06 as well.

Still depreciating, but holding pretty well. Low mileage ones have been fetching between mid and high twenties for 3 years now (US of course).

I see the Z06 holding most of it's value, similar to the more desirable C3s. Not going to go the way of the C4s (outside of the ZR-1).

Will they ever go for as much as a 67 427 or a C2? Not for a very long time, if ever.

if you wanna save money just buy an 2002 or 2003 with over 50k miles. you can find a really nice one for under $20k.

No point of buying a low miles z because the car is a tank. with the money you'll save you can update alot of things.

Majority of the problems that emerge with this car are electrical. for example i purchased mine about a year ago with 5,000 miles for 25k, since than i have repaired the BCM and now need to take out the EBCM because it is having problems as well.

Aside from that im really happy with the car but i do regret getting low miles because with the updates i plan to do are going to cost me 5k. i might as well have bought a c6.

You would have rather bought a c6? Not me id rather have my 03 z06 any day over a c6. I think the c6 is aging bad while the z06 is timeless. My opinion of course. And its worth it to buy a clean low mileage car no matter if your going to upgrade. Then you know whats done and hopefully you have it done right. You never see your return on upgrades so make sure u want to keep it for a while. Its part of the car game. Its just money spend it and have fun or whats the sense of it all.

The only C6's that I wouldn't consider a downgrade: a built GS, Z06 (heads addressed), and the mighty ZR1. Other than what I listed, C5 Z06 FTW.
