Car Came with BBK TB/Intake
So i purchased my first vette a few days ago. I noticed the car had an aluminum intake and that all these ls motors have resin/plastic intakes to reduce intake temperatures. I was just wondering if this BBK intake on an otherwise stock motor (minus midlength headers and VR intake) is a noticeable upgrade over the stock LS6 intake. I ask because a friend would be happy to trade me an LS6 intake plus cash for my bbk setup.
Future motor upgrades include Full exhaust and mild cam with supporting mods.

I'm no expert... I think the BBK unit has rec'd some very poor reviews here and elsewhere. Perhaps the so called "experts" will actually use some energy and reply to you.

If you haven't found the info you're looking for on this forum, do some searches over on ls1tech. I seem to remember threads that compare ls6 vs. ls2 vs. FAST vs. BBK intake manifolds.

Thank you all for the replies. From the comparison it seems the BBK is a nice upgrade over the stock LS6 intake and its certainly not worth putting in all the work of an intake swap to downgrade for a little cash.
