[Z06] How many c5z still on the road?

How many c5z still on the road?
Hi guys, I'm a proud owner of a 02 c5z. This is actually a fairly rare car and I think a special car as far as American made cars go. How many are left? Can we figure this out? Has somebody began this work? I think its work worth doing as I think this car will be something special for years to come.
Thoughts?
According to this website corvette central there are 28,388. My assumption is that all 2001-2004 hardtops/Z06 in their counts are actual Z06.

I would think a lot of people would think a Porsche 911 would be rare. I thought it was more rare than a c5z. It was produced almost as many in 2003 (24K) as all of the c5z production. After I made the post I got to thinking, is it some what rare or what.

28,388 is quite a lot for a specialty model. It is lower production than many vehicles, but I suppose "rare" is a relative term. My '94 Supra Turbo was one of 2939, and my '89 Turbo T/A was one of 1550, so when I see cars made in the tens of thousands, I just don't think they are rare.

I don't think they were necessarily rare when they were made but I don't see many of them out on the road anymore... there are lots of vettes around my area but I mostly see base c6/c7's with a few z06's here and there and occasionally a base c5 but I hardly ever see a c5z out on the road other than my own... maybe scarce would be a better word to describe them

We were in the bar to see my friend's band play, and we originally were chuckling at Maynard. He was standing by himself wearing a civil war era cap and had his hair in long braids. He looked like Les Claypool from Primus. Anyway, we heard that someone from Tool was in the bar because they were in town visiting family (New Years Eve). I walked over and shook his hand, told him I was a huge fan, and he autographed the back of my friend's band's business card for me. He wrote his initials down like damned Sanskrit text. LOL! He was super-cool and very chill. Nice guy!

I'm jelly! There is a very short list of "celebrities" I care to meet, and he is one of them.

I identify with him because (not to get too political) he is social liberal in his views, but he's also pragmatic...balanced. I'll bet that confuses a lot of people, but I think people should be able to shoot their guns at their gay weddings (I am also a multiple gun owner )

This explains why you should read what you write before you hit "post".......
