Default Air intake for 2002 Z06

Hello, I just bought my 2002 Z06. I'm looking at the Veraram & Airaid intake's. The Airaid seems pretty straight forward. However, I'm finding mixed reviews on the Veraram. Has anyone had any recent experience with them? Or Would you recommend a different one. Thank you!

I doubt any other CAI is going to have as big of a gain as the vararam. I had it on mine for the last three years and really liked it. If you are using it on a stock tune like I did its recommended to add a screen before the maf to balance out the increased airflow. I got a check engine light without it so I added a haltech maf screen. Even with it if I was driving on a real windy day the car would get some engine surge while cruising from the wind gusts. Just got the car programmed for the VR & LT's and there is no surge now.

Thank you for your reply! Did you use the power duct with it as well? Basically the screen is a fix, however, it's recommend to eventually get a tune. Again, thanks for all the advice.

I did some research here when I got the VR and it sounded like there wasn't much gain from the power duct so I stuck with the stock piece. Yes the screen just allows it to work on the stock tune and not throw a code. A tune is recommended but not required IMO. Good luck with your new ride, enjoy it
