LG Motorsports Solid Engine Mounts
-RELEASE-
I should say re-release as we have had solid engine and transmission mounts for years now used in all of our race and track cars but we have recently made changes to them to make them lighter than the original designs.
Our billet aluminum C5/6 engine mounts are designed as a direct bolt in replacement for the OEM piece and have all required hardware supplied. They are slightly lower to add additional clearance for FAST intake manifolds.
MSRP $169.95

Of course with any new production street car, interior noise insulation is a big concern for the manufacturers. That being said, you have rubber engine mounts, rubber trans mounts, rubber control arm mounts, rubber driveshaft couplers..... all of that is there to try and isolate noise and vibration from inside the car.
Those looking for a more performance feel to the handling of the car look to poly or even solid bearing mounts for the control arms...just as with those the same can be done for the engine and trans mounts. By mounting these solid in the car you eliminate drivetrain movement which provides a more direct link from your foot to the tires and wasted energy on drivetrain movement.
Like solid suspension bushings a solid drivetrain mount is going to transfer more vibrations and noise to the cabin of the car. A stock engine is not going to do as much as say a 1000 hp supercharged power plant but it will increase noise inside the car.
