Have you had any problems with the Lingenfelter reluctor wheel converter?

I want to do the LS3 swap but was actually thinking of having a shop change the reluctor wheel so I didn't have to rely on a module for my Daily Driver...

But in the end its almost the same $ as getting a budget build Gen III from a vendor with custom internals...

I am just planning for when my LS6 takes a dump.

So far no issues at all. The main thing is placing the box in the engine bay away from any heat. I have mine pinned to the inside of the battery box.

I had a reputable LSx shop do my swap, so I went with the reluctor wheel swap (it was like a $75 difference) for more peace of mind. Not that the box isn't any good, just one less thing to worry about.

I've had mine on for 2 years now with no problems at all. Have it mounted on firewall to the left of the engine.

Now, the only thing I'm missing, which I just found out today, is the MAP extension harness.

She's getting closer.
what do you need to buy beside the crate engine to do the swap? Also, does the computer system work with the new setup?

You need a bunch of stuff.

Various adapters for the knock sensors and cam positioning sensor. I used all racetronixs parts.
A Lingenfelter converter box for the reluctor wheel if you dont swap it out for a 58X
LS2 Silver Blade Throttle Body
The ECU can be tuned for the larger motor - Once the new motor is in - it will need a base tune for the new parameters. It will run like **** if you dont.

Various while the motor is out stuff.

Serpentine Belt
Engine Fans
AC Belt
New Clutch
New Radiator (I went Dewitts with an oil cooler)
Check all rollers/pulleys/tensioners
AC Compressor/Accumulator
Motor Mounts
Deep Cleaning of the engine bay

Off the top of my head, that's all I can remember.

One last item - I had to get new tires too. I went with 305-35-18 on the rears. Couldn't hook up on the old set.
