Help needed or rear speaker trim removal
Could use some help here. I'm installing sound deadening for my 2003 ZO6 and things just ground to a halt. I need to remove the rear trim pieces containing the speaker grills and can't see how to do it. Don't want to mess up anything, and the only links I can find are old and go off in the wrong direction. Would really appreciate some guidance or a fresh link. Thanks!!!

Not easy. You need to remove the seats and seat belts and a couple of other items need to be moved. The entire rear side wall of the interior needs to be removed to get to the speaker area. Carefully, it all snaps in with plastic fittings, get plastic prying tools from Harbor Freight.

Its actually pretty easy. You dont need to take out the seat btw.
I did a write up and covered the removal od the rear speaker panels here https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...o-upgrade.html

Thanks for the tips. Got them off without damage to anything. Here is the sequence that worked well.
1) Remove the trim piece located at the base of the rear window. Remove two push pins than pull the piece forward towards the front of the car.
2) Removing the above piece will reveal a push pin for each of the speaker panels. remove the pins.
3) Remove a small pin on the door weather stripping, each side.
4) Remove seat belt shoulder connecting point (torx)
5) Remove trim piece in trunk above wheel well (it has the end of the speaker trim captive)
6 )Speaker trim piece can now be snapped away from body.
