11.96 @119....Woo-hoo!
Ran the car this morning at Cecil County Dragway in MD. Best of 3 runs was an 11.96 @118.96mph with a 1.87 60'. That was my first ever 11 sec run in this or any car. Weather and track prep were both fantastic, temp was 44 degrees at 9:30am, lots of big hp cars were running at this t&t day there so lots of vht was used, awesome prep. On my first run on the car since I last ran it stock 3 years ago was a 12.4 @116 2.08 60'. Pretty easy launch feeling out the track, shifts weren't great hit rev limiter on 1-3. Was pretty happy with a 12.4 though, weak launch but car felt very strong, I knew it could do way better. Hot lapped it and ran again, very next run hit the 11.9 I was ecstatic!!! Had 2 missed runs after that, one launched really hard but then missed 2nd, didn't go in so I let off. Another run great launch but wheel hopped 2nd and got out of it. Last run got a 12.04 @117.8. All 5 of these runs were within 30 minutes, hot lapping most runs.
The stock clutch started feeling weak by the last run so I stopped. I almost stopped after the 11 run but wanted to see what more it could do, that ended up being the best run of the day. Car has vararam, XS power LT's with catted X-pipe, ECS mail order tune, mgw shifter and trans/diff brace. These runs were all on my complete street setup, stock z wheels with 275/295 NT05's. Just aired the backs down to 25 lbs. It's been a great day!

Congrats! Breaking into the 11s in a basically street car is a great feeling.
Careful though... Eventually, you'll want a 10 second slip...
Quite frankly, I don't ever think it ends until your wallet cries uncle.

Yeah that's what's so awesome about it to me, only hp mods were intake, headers and a tune and it pretty easily hit an 11, love this car. I knew it was capable of it, just couldn't believe how easily it got there. I really like the car the way is now though, and I know what it would take to be another 1-2 seconds faster. Really don't plan on trying to get there with this car. I can only imagine what it has cost you to get where you are!
There were some crazy fast street cars there today 9's, 8's and a 7! Thanks!

Im sure it could run that fast with those mods, especially depending on the size of the cam. I know it would take a better clutch too though, mines the stocker. Then you really need to strengthen the trans, and the rear and on and on..... I know how addictive it is trying to reach the next level, went through it for years with my lt1 z28. These cars are just too costly (to me) to mod that far. I want to just enjoy it for what it is now for a while, really happy with it.

Nice runs, your MPH shows your car is making good HP considering your mods. The NT05 is a pretty sticky street tire so you should be able to shave your 60' into the bottom 1.8x's (I was able to get a 1.80 60' from the stock Goodyear Supercar tires). The stock clutch leaves much to be desired..... I did a best of 11.79 on the stock clutch but I ended up replacing it with an LS7 setup.

Yeah I think the great air contributed to the mph too, the NT05's hooked nice but the track was also very well prepped for this event. I was only launching around 3000-3500 rpm, I could have gone higher and lowered my 60' but didn't want to push the car that hard. The stock clutch always gives up after 3-4 runs, would really like to replace it one day.

Nothing too special on the launch yesterday, track prep was sooo good that I don't think I spun at all on any of my 5 runs, lots of vht was being used. Drove around the water box, then back up too it, do a burnout in 2nd and stay in it for 1-2 sec while you roll out and feel the tires bite. It's real quick and just to clean them off and heat them a bit, not a big smokey or anything. Stage shallow, pull up real slow till you hit the first light beam then really slow and just barely trip the 2nd. This helps with your et. I always try to get to the line and stage before the other guy, I like to have a few seconds to prepare. The clutch release and gas depends on track condition. This track was well prepped so it was a pretty quick release and roll hard into gas. Really hard to describe I guess, I've been to this track with little to no vht prep and it's a lot tougher to launch the car without spinning. It's much easier to be consistent if you have real drag radials then the track prep isn't as critical. I launched at 3000-3500 on all these runs, a quick clutch release and rolled right into the gas hard since traction was so good. Shifted just before limiter around 63-6400 ea shift, just a slight lift off of the gas between shifts. It really helps if you have a shift light set at your ideal rpm shift point. I had that on another car and it makes your shifts way more consistent. If I run again I'm going to add one. Got a vid of one of my runs.

ok think this works now, not the best video, it was early morning in the sun and had my young son filming it on his phone.

What cam, ever dyno it? What did it do. A good clutch will make your car more consistent in the 1/4. My stock clutch gives up after 4-5 passes, I could feel it wasnt hitting and starts to slip a bit which hurt my times in the end.
