Heel & Toe
First step for me was :
CAI
LT Headers to stock TI exhaust
Tune
that'll make a huge difference right out the gate.
...and it only gets more expensive from there

I would also ditch the factory stock rubber brake lines..put a braided stainless lines in and good set of brake pads and fluid motul 600.Will be a noticeable improvement over stock braking.

Drifting
In no particular order -
Shifter - MGW/Hurst/hinson/C6Z
"shorty antenna" - b/c the stocker is better used to beat someone w/
LT headers - Kooks/LG/ARH/Stainless works
Good tires - Michelin PS2's/Nitto NT01/05
Sway bar endlinks (only cuz its a question of when, not if the OEM's fail)
CAI - vararam honker etc
Custom dyno tune (remove CAGS)
LCM5 column lock bypass
4 new speakers, new headunit w/ bluetooth
SCC trunk partition
I have these mods & then some, you do all the above & you'll have a car that will hang w/ or embarrass most modern sports cars on the road while still offering great handling, ride, & the stereo upgrade makes you forget the car is 15 years old.
Other mods that I don't consider "necessary must haves" but certainly make the C5Z more special and/or easier to live w/ and/or faster -
Heads/cam
Supercharger
New seats (depending on how you plan on using the car racing seats may need to get bumped up to a "must have")
New steering wheel
clear bra film (car is low as hell rock chips will ruin the paint if you actually drive it)
New shocks - '04 C5Z sachs, Bilsteins, or go crazier w/ some coil over setup
New Swaybars
Jacking pucks (don't "need" them but nice to have)
The list can keep growing.
Enjoy!!!
