I'm going back to the argent silver wheels from the car's current chrome Speedlines. The archives talk about silver or gray spin on plastic lug nut caps on the ' 01 and 02's, but oem chrome lug nuts ( no caps ) on the ' 03 and 04 Z's. The present chromed Speedlines have threaded plastic caps in chrome.
Can someone please verify the factory setup on the '04 cars?

Ther were no plastic nut covers for the lugs. Just polished/chrome color lugs.

My 2004 Z06 has the painted plastic lug caps.

Correct: '04 just had regular acorn-style lug nuts. Not the ones with the plastic caps.

I guess one of the two previous owners of my car didn't like the chrome lugs for some reason. I even have the oem keyed lug with lug cover on each wheel.
