I have your interior - 08 3LZ picked up last September with 6100 miles. I came from a C5Z as well - a built bottom end, blown 04 Z16. Currently in the midst of a Tony Mamo heads, mild cam, RXT clutch, long tube header build...

Looks great!! Love the silver!!! That was actually my first choice... I could not pass up the Black one though.
The interior, 3LZ package is as good as it gets for the C6Z... I too have picked up some LG 1 7/8's, BB Fusions for my car... I'll leave it like that for awhile... Then i'll do heads, cam, intake, perhaps a D1.... It's gonna be done right... 22K on mine and it isn't even broke in yet. I'll have mine this Sunday... cannot wait!!!!

I actually take delivery of the car tomorrow... I'll post up once I get a chance to really get a feel for the car. Remember, I owned my C5Z for 8+ years.... Driving the C6Z initially was truly as different as night and day.. Two TOTALLY different Corvettes.

MUCH respect for the C5Z... you'll never hear me bashing that platform! Drove mine for the last time last night... Documented it w my middle son as he and I have attended and raced 1/2 mi events for the past 4 yrs w this car.... He graduates HS this year and will be moving on to the Military. Kind of closing that chapter ya know. I will mod the C6Z.. but nothing like the C5Z in terms of stroker, nitrous. It will most likely be twin turbo or FI...... Time will tell... for now, i'll enjoy it. It gets here today and I will load up the C5Z on the same trailer.

3Lz is HUD, Heated Seats, Bose, Nav... Kind of a bitter sweet day yesterday. My 17 y/o son did NOT want to see the C5Z go... However, hes pretty excited about the future of this C6Z... Chapter closed.... BTLFED headed to Dayton Ohio.

The new Z looks sharp as hell and the interior looks great! My wife's side of the family lives up in the Dayton area. We ahead up there every summer so I'll be on the look out.

That would be awesome if you all were to run into it.... If so, shoot some pics... I can guarantee their won't be another one around like it...

Plenty of problems with the C6Z (see above, I have an 08 C6Z with 8300 miles) - I don't even have to go into the valve guide issue. Good thing is that it is ~$2K to fix the issue, but still needs to be monitored every 20-25k miles or so, which is a pain. Oh, and the C6Z suffers from the same clutch "pedal to the floor" issue the C5Zs had. I went with an RXT twin disk, with the Tick Master cylinder and GM slave cylinder, and the problem is gone, just like with the C5Z.

Own two corvettes...A 73 convertible and a 91 ZR-1, both modded...I played the you tube clip.....Turned it off in after about twenty seconds.....I like a nice sounding exhaust and my 73 has 40 series flow masters, but I couldn't deal with the sound on that you tube clip....

I'm not knocking someone's choice of sound for a car, not at all...I just could not deal with the sound of those fusion mufflers if I had a ZO6...

I hear those cars are animals and if it was my car I would go with a more lower sounding throaty muffler...

I didn't say they didn't have problems . What I said is that nobody ever says anything about there C-6 having problems so if you don't here about the problems do they have really problems.. If a tree falls in the woods and nobody here's it LOL..

Matt, wishing you big congrats on the C6Z. IMO it is a very special car and I'm looking forward to making the transition to a black 3LZ as well. I look forward to seeing your mod selections!

Your C5Z is an icon here and certainly one of the best looking C5's I've ever seen.
