Coming from a guy with a c3,c4 w a Flowmaster, I find your post comical.
The C3 I am sure won't spin on ice..... the 91 ZR1 is truly a great platform but will never compare to the C6Z..So I won't even go there and i'll spare you the embarrassment. If you knew anything about the C6Z guys then you would know that the Billy Boat Fusions are highly sought after for those who can afford them. You say you couldn't get through the video... and for "you" that's ok. Its not your car.. So you can enjoy your $85 flowmaster and feel great driving down a farm, gravel road in that c3.... that is the wonderful thing about owning a Corvette. If they all looked and sounded the same then things would get pretty boring.
Thank you for your contribution to the thread and have a great weekend.... Oh, did you receive a Flowmaster decal with your purchase? I say sport that thing!!! throw it on the bumper of that C3 and enjoy.

Own two corvettes...A 73 convertible and a 91 ZR-1, both modded...I played the you tube clip.....Turned it off in after about twenty seconds.....I like a nice sounding exhaust and my 73 has 40 series flow masters, but I couldn't deal with the sound on that you tube clip....
I'm not knocking someone's choice of sound for a car, not at all...I just could not deal with the sound of those fusion mufflers if I had a ZO6...
I hear those cars are animals and if it was my car I would go with a more lower sounding throaty muffler...

Thanks for the kind words.... Keep me posted once you make your purchase.. Trust me, you won't regret the upgrade!
Matt, wishing you big congrats on the C6Z. IMO it is a very special car and I'm looking forward to making the transition to a black 3LZ as well. I look forward to seeing your mod selections!
Your C5Z is an icon here and certainly one of the best looking C5's I've ever seen.

Yes the C-6 Z is a great platform and in no way was I comparing my vehicles " I know better"..
Been a Corvette owner for many many years and would never downplay another Corvette owner...
Be safe..

Thanks Zach...
Yeah, I am starting all over... But I feel that the C6Z is a better foundation to start with. The C5Z is "Raw".... It is a true Race car out of the box and even more so when heavily modded.
This 08Z is so much more refined and I can make the same NA power as my stroked 414 (or more) with only heads cam bolt ons and I have a newer car w only 20K miles... I have already picked up some LG 1 7/8, BTR ported FAST 102, Billy Boat fusion cat back... Going with the G7X4 along with ported heads, NW 102TB... Should put me at 560-580 to the tire.... The C6Z loves higher RPM's and the TR6060 is pretty sweet!!! Cruising @ 75mph @ 1700 rpms getting 28-31mpg is unheard of.
I am glad that I made the switch.... Its a great car. Stay tuned... I'll see you around..

Come on over to the "Dark Side" Ivan.... I have seen you lurking around the C6Z section as of late. You will totally fall in love with the car.. I am compiling my mod list and should be going under the knife sometime next month, early May.....
