Sold the C5Z yesterday...
Kind of bitter sweet...Picking up an 08 C6Z 3LZ w 22K miles,stored in a heated garage, bone stock.
Its been a great ride over the years in this C5 area of the forum. I have learned a lot, made a lot of internet "friends" and appreciate all of the kind words, compliments, advise over the years. We'll see if the C6Z group is as kind. My C5Z will be terrorizing the streets of Dayton Ohio... (glad it will be out of Tx)
I'll stop back by from time to time if you guys will have me. The C5Z was a great platform and will always get my respect out on the highway, track. I do have plans (big plans) for the C6Z.... But for now i'll enjoy it stock until I get used to it. The fella I bought it from replaced it with a new C7Z.. Here are a few pics.

Best of luck with the new car, luck to the owner of the C5Z as well.

Nothing more than a change... C5Z served me well for many miles, years. For me, it was time to change. What better Corvette platform to start over again than a C6Z..? It is really as simple as that.

Congrats on the upgrade, I'd love to do the same someday! If I upgrade I may go with a C6 grand sport though just because the LS3 is cheaper to mod and maintain. It has plenty of power for me and I love the look of the GS. I really like that interior in yours, that's a nice combo. Enjoy your new ride!

Congrats on your new c6z. I would never trade out of my c5z. Like the track car feel, happy with the horsepower 471 rwhp and like the traditional hidden lights. I respect the ls7 but have also heard a few bad things about it. At one time it was my favorite power plant but after the few cars I have seen with engine damage caused by big cams and over revving I will stay with the ls6. Good Luck with your car.

Yeah, C6Z's were play toys for my C5Z on the bottle (740/770) and some NA... As were many other cars. All engines have an Achilles heel... As far as the 427 not being as strong or not able to make the power... We'll see... I have BIGGER plans for this car. Thanks again for the kind words.

A few years back I had the chance to drive a couple different 427 C6's for a week each. They were totally stock and were just beasts. Hated when I got back into my LS1 Vette cause it felt so "slow" compared to LS7 cars! Enjoy!
