Hey there Miguel. Welcome.
So - is it just difficult to get into reverse? Is this when cold or warmed up?
My Z06 can be difficult when cold, however I just move the shifter into one of the other gears before and it'll slip right into reverse...

Ruger is right. I have to let out the clutch to just before engage to get it into reverse when cold. Just a quirk of the car.

Stock shifter? How many miles on the car? Upgrade to a C6 or a MGW and it may get easier to get into reverse with a newer unit that has no play.....

Hi Again and thanks for your answer:
Look the reverse not enter well cold and warm the car, the other gears change very well, i am thinking that maybe i need to see if clutch and trans are doing well their jobs... what else???

Seeing that I had this problem here is what is happening. At some point in life someone dumped the clutch in Reverse. (I did). What many believe is that the shift fork took the load and bent. On mine what really happen is that the C-clip and washer were damaged, this allowed enough of a gap in the gears spacing so as not to let the synchro engage. It was an easy fix but Trans needs to be dropped, reverse is the first gear cluster when opening the trans.
You can see the movement gap in the photo below.

Wow, good info. My last Z had over 53K and the C6 shifter worked great. Just installed it on my new Z (under 9K miles) which had a no name super short shifter that took two hands to get into reverse but always worked. Like the C6Z one a lot better.....

See the post "1st and reverse won't go in all the time!" Jan. 26, 2017. Maybe more ideas there. Save the wave!

Just curious, was that an accident that you dumped it in reverse or was that intentional? Reverse burnout are really bad news on most cars, drive lines are designed to handle hard forward acceleration, not so much in reverse lol, things can get f'd up real fast when doing that.
As my father taught me, you broke it, you fix it.

You are not the only one, going in reverse can be a pain with stock shifter and its pretty common. I have a mgw and still sometimes it feels like its not in reverse completely. The best way to do it is go into first or second then go from there to reverse. There are plenty of threads on reverse gear.
