hi,
I bought some C6 Z06 chrome wheels for my C5. the standard tire size for the fronts for those rims are 275/35/18.
I already have good tires on my old rims, where I have 275/40/18,
so a height difference of 5. will this cause any rubbing issues?

Jasper, I did the same thing. The front was fine, no rubbing. The rear had some very slight rubbing on the inside of the wheel well tub. The rubbing was nearly imperceptible in the sense there was no impact to performance or noise.

What I did not like was to poke. Both front and rear has 1/2-3/4 inch poke outside the wheel well.

Other than that the car looked great! Ultimately I traded that set up for some C7 Z06 rims that had the proper "off-set" for the C5.

Mine rub on the front full clock..275 40 18 z06 spyders 18×9.5.

Do you think that a tire with 275/35/18, would fix that problem?

It should. I've ran several configurations under the sun and 275/35/18 on the OEM Z wheels should not rub.
