[Z06] Reasonably priced low profile Z06 jack? Jackstands?

Reasonably priced low profile Z06 jack? Jackstands?
What is the best way to jack up a Z06 using a conventional jack? I have a 3 ton floor jack /w jack stands, but the clearance is so low that I can't get under the front, and can barely get it under the back. I ended up using a screw jack off my Jeep <yuck!> in order to get it up. I saw a low profile jack, but they wanted $500+ for it.
Does anyone know where I could get a reasonably priced low profile jack? Also, will standard jack stands work on the 'approved' jacking points?
Thanks,

I have not jacked up the Z06 yet (too new) but for the C5 coupe I use a two step process. Should be the same though.
Back - I raise up the back cross member at the suspension support point (shown in the owners manual) with a 1 ton hydraulic floor jack just enough to get my 3 1/2 ton floor jack under the center of the cross member. I use block of wood and spread the load out as much as I can. Then raise it up enough to get two jack stands under the suspension support points. For the small jack I must remove the circular pad that normally is the support point because I need the clearence to put the wooden block between the car and the jack.
Front - I drive the car up on rhino ramps (Walmart carries these) and then jack on the suspension support points.

I just bought a 2-1/2 ton MACK floor jack from Wal-Mart for $19, and a pair of 2 ton jackstands for $9. I lowered my car (this is what I bought the jack and stands for, to lower it) and to get under it I drive it onto 2 doubled up 2 x 6 's to get the clearance. This jack has a disc diameter that fits perfect in to the jacking points on the side of the car, or, it will fit up into the cross member on the back.

A regular jack and regular jack stands work just fine. Just like the post above, drive the car up on a block of wood (2"x4" worked fine for me) and that will give you the clearance to get the jack under. Since I use a C5 jacking puck, I had to buy a jack in the $50 range since those are the ones that have the hole big enough to fit the pucks. The cheap $20 jacks by me have the small hole in them and the typical jacking puck will not fit.

You might want to look at this little jack.

The easiest and cheapest solution is to make some wood blocks. You'll only need about 1 1/2-inches of height to get the floor jack under the front of the car. At the back, I can get the jack under the rear crossmember without blocks.

I just bought this for $200. Barely gets under front at stock height.

It cost a little more - but I love my AC Hydraulics DK13HLQ. You can see in the picture that it fits all the way under the front of my 2001 without assistance.

I start with a ramp made from 2x10" board.
Two 10 ft boards makes four ramps. Cut a 3' piece and a 2'
piece with 45 deg. edge at one side, stack and nail (about a 3" lift).
drive up on them and use pumpjack and stands if more height is
needed. Used this for many years, no problem. :yesnod:

I was looking in the manual and saw where the jacking points were. Basically under the front and rear cross members. I have a cheapo Walmart 2.5 ton jack that won't fit under the front of the car. I have been jacking the corners up (enough to get a wheel off) under the rocker panels. I place a rag on the jack plate and raise up the car. I've never had to get the entire front end off the ground. Not sure if I've been just lucky but I've done this several times with no damage to the car. Good for brakes and tires if nothing else.
