Re: Z16 Carbon Fiber Hood Needs This: (1fastdog)
Thanks Paul. Sorry I missed the bash. I'll talk with you soon.
Carbon Fiber Beauty Covers are about 1 week away. No pricing yet, but they will sport the same ultra-cool carbon seen here.
Available in Red Kevlar and Black Carbon with the black carbon reflective logo shown here.
The first 50 covers, as promised will be $50.00 over our cost, to facilitate getting these out to market, and for the help the forum has given in the survey.
It is going to be a tough mold, since there will be an upper and lower mold. The cover will feature recessed CORVETTE, just like stock, and the Z06 logo shown.
The Flow Bench numbers show that the Halltech Tunnel Bridge flows 30% more air than the stock bridge and accordion.
Very soon, we will have the entire TRAP available in pure carbon fiber, with the Tunnel Port in carbon fiber and the beauty covers.
Frankly, I think these pieces are a work of art. We can only do one per day and we actually do them once per week at this time, since the autoclave is so expensive to crank up.

Flow Bench Results: Halltech TRAP vs. OEM
The Halltech TRAP-Z06 MAF (without honeycomb laminar airflow screen) vs.
The Halltech TRAP with LS1 MAF (with honeycomb laminar airflow screen) vs.
OEM with Z06 MAF vs.
OEM with LS1 MAF
These results were done by an independent airflow research firm for Halltech.
We also have results of other intakes, but will not post them for obvious reasons. Suffice it to say, the TRAP blows the doors off of all other intakes, and makes stock look like it belongs on a Honda.
The stock airbox, with a 2002 Z06 lid was used, with a brand new stock paper filter for the testing.
