Default 04 shocks on an 03 Z06

Anyone with an 03 put on the 04 shocks yet?

Please describe your impressions.

Thank you,

I put them on my 02 last night. First impression is that thea are smoother on the bumpy road that leads to my house. I put on about 5 miles. I'll do more driving today and I have a track event on friday. I'll let you know next weekend.

I have put 04s on my 02 (same thing as an 03)

very subtle difference daily driver.

very obvious difference in autocross slaloms.
I can't really say yet if its "better" but it feels very different, and somewhat odd.

based on my running spreadsheet of autox performance, it certainly hasn't slown me down at all. I had my best performance yet last sunday with them.

Can you elaborate more on the "odd" feeling? The "different" feeling?

well, you turn left to go around the first cone, ,feels normal, then as you turn back right to go around the next cone, its like the car kinda HOPS over

more abruptly changes directions.

perhaps what I am feeling is the stiffer high velocity dampening.

felt the same thing in the chicane at the end of the 2.9mile TWS road course.

I've noticed a big change in my 02 to 03!! I don't plan on changing the shocks yet! Are you unhappy with the 03 ride? The change between the 02 and 03 ride is very notiable for me.

Wondering about the 03 to 04 ride?!
Bill. :D

Tell us more about the 04 ride ... anyone?

You went from old shocks to new shocks, 03 and 02 shocks are the same.

What is the average life span of stock ('01) shocks

If it's close to replacement miles I would concider the '04's

I do combination of agressive and regular driving.... limited track time.

Interested in this too? I have almost 35k miles on my '01 Z51 suspension and do quite a bit of autocross and roadracing. How much would I benefit going to '04 Z06 shocks?
