How Clean Is The Bottom of Your Oil Pan?
Just changed the oil on my Z06 and noticed a little oil film on the pan. It appeared it may be coming from the back. I've only got 6800 miles on the car. It has never been driven on a wet road. The rest on the under carriage is clean. Is it too much to expect the bottom of my Vette to be as clean as my Acura, which has a lot more miles on it? Anyone else experience this? Is this normal? Should I have the dealer look at it under warrany?
Thanks for any help you can give.

How clean your under-carriage is depends a lot upon how much care is used on the oil changes. I do all of my own now and my undersides are nearly spotless which was not the case when the dealers were changing my oil.

I've done all the oil changes myself, and I haven't spilled a drop. I guess I must have a leaking gasket somewhere. Anyone have trouble like this?

Spotless! Actually the entire car is like it just rolled off the butt. line. It should with only 2,990 original miles! :auto: :hurray:

Now that's a new one....comparing a Corvette to an Acura.
My oil pan is clean. "Clean", is or isn't. :flag
