I bought a silver Z06 so I wouldn't have to wash it. Silver looks OK even when its filthy. I've had my car a little over 4 months and have washed it twice. It's not garaged, so it gets pretty dirty very quickly. When I do wash it, I use car wash soap and a sponge. I dry off the windows with a bath towel (I hate water spots on glass). Other than that, I do nothing. I'll probably wax it for the first time next spring.

I too use the Mr.Clean system. It DOES infact work. I let the rest air dry. For wax I use a product called Show Bike. Unfortunetly is was SO expensive, the company bit the bullet. I bought a case before they went away. CHECK in contents of the wax your using, if it says "Petroleum Distilates" DON'T use it. Essentially that's a fancy name for gasoline!! I'm VERY particular about the products I use whether it's on my Harley show bike, Z06 or boat.

I promise, you won't be sorry if you use these products. You can get an unbelievable amount of waxes out of an 8 oz jar. It goes on very easy & comes off even easier. Bugs & grim just don't stick.
