I got the polished wheels with mine. I personally do not care for chrome wheels at all, but these are definitely not chrome. I like them, but you can definitely see "imperfections" in these wheels. I took the car "as is" from Kerbeck, so I had no choice. I have since seen the "stock" wheels and prefer them much more.

I have the polished and while I like them, they are not worth the $1,295. Next time I will get the Competition Gray wheels for $295.00 and put a color C6 logo on them.

I don't think they're worth the money. I had ordered them on my vert but then after seeing the quality on some stock coupes at my dealer I cancelled them. Also they seem to be on constraint all the time. As soon as I cancelled them I got a TPW (which is being built today). I'm doing the chrome exchange from WCC.

Wheels
I have them and like them. Some who have them have done a chrome exchange, others replaced them al together. Most have expressed a certain disappointment with the degree of the polish, e.g. polished vs highly polished. Chrome wheels are nice but a little too flashy for this 56 yr old. JMHO

Wow, it's seems that I'm not crazy regarding the imperfections. Seems that everyone's are like that. If you like the "chrome" look, go with chrome, otherwise, stay with the standard wheels. The polished ones look like they put somebody in the back room with a Dremel, with which they sit and polish each one by hand. Each wheel has its own imperfections and they're not the same.

I've gotten the polished wheel option on a car assembled in mid December. I was impressed when I saw them. I was expecting the imperfections that everyone was complaining about, uneven spots and a "milky" haze to them. These wheels were so nice looking and polished so well, some people even thought they were chrome on first sight. Maybe I just lucked out with them?

A dealer advertised 10 C6's in the paper so I thought I'd go take a look. Most had polished wheels. From a distance they looked very sharp-- especially on the black Vetts. On closer inspection, however, I saw what most forum members were noticing about the wheels. I couldn't help but think, "Someone at GM must of forgot just how much $1,300.00 is to people-- these wheels were not worth the price." The only way I would take them is if you were going to buy from the dealer's stock and did not want to order the car. From the ones I have seen I would never order them.

I had them on my order and cancelled too. I went to the local dealer and checked them out up close. They still had buffing compound on them --- below the clearcoat. Not worth the $1300 unless GM really inspects them. I'm either opting for the competition grey wheels or the aftermarket GM 10 spoke wheels.

polished wheels
I have the polished wheels on my PR coupe and like them. I really dont care for the super high polished wheels as they look too showy and fake in my opinion. Mine have just the right shine to suit my tastes. If you look real close, there are some imperfections. I still think they look more rich than the base wheel. Are they worth the money? It's a matter of opinion. They could have done a better job, but I like them.

They just happened to be on the black coupe I fell for, but otherwise I do not think they're worth the extra money. They are truly polished aluminum wheels, not chrome, and are not a great version of polished aluminum. They don't look anywhere near the finish of the polished C5 wheel. This doesn't stop everyone that sees them from commenting on how much they like them...although I think it's because they're larger than previous model years and fill the wheelwell. People just like big rims...go figure.

I have them and they are not worth the money. I bought from stock so no choice. I would rather choose my wheels from the after market.
Since they are clear coated how should they be cleaned?

I have them and I love the way they look!
Would not want anything else.
I thought they had them priced too high.
But for me there was no other choice, chrome is too flashy and the standard wheels are dull looking.

The Polished Wheels have inconsistant finishes. Some are fine and some, Like mine aren't.
GM doesn't seem eager to assist either. Already The Service Mgr. hasn't called me back RE; My Polished Wheels! So I will probably have to go through a big Hassle to get resolved.
Will GM ever change their Mindset about Customer Service?
Lucky
PS In retrospect I should have got the NAV {about the same price as polished wheels}and had the wheels chromed after market{about $795 w/exchange}.
