Default Shift ****

Has anyone changed their shift **** yet? I've always preferred a 'ball'.

My C5 felt like I was holding a softball. I switched to a black 'Q' ball from Mid America and it felt better.

Check out Pro 5.0 shifters.

http://pro50shifters.meridian1.net/d...BS&NID=1448599

They may have to remachine your shifter shaft to fit the threads in their "ball" shaped handle.
I plan to have the stock shifter shaft shortened and rethreaded for the Pro 5.0 shifter ball as the first mod for my C6.

Breathless Performance Products has an aftermarket **** available -- that's the only one I know of.

Stay tuned since there will inevitably be 100 to choose from within a year. I went through 6 ***** on my last C5.

It cracks me up how people always respond with "it's perfect for me" in these type of threads -- the guy isn't asking how you like it, he wants information on where he can buy a replacment for his own car.

I keep hoping the "Voodoo" boys will make a ****. They do round titanium and other ***** for Miatas and S2000's etc. Good feeling **** and just the right size for me.

Default Hurst option

A "few" years ago I had a 1962 Impala SuperSport. After pulling and rebuilding the 327/300 hp and replacing it with a 327/375 hp small block, I also installed a Hurst shifter and T-handle. It appears that you can still buy the T-Handle to replace the ball (http://forums.corvetteforum.com/phot...t_T-Handle.jpg) with adapters for various shifters (including the Vette).

If it doesn't get in the way of the cup holders, it might be a nice alternative. I can almost visualize "grabbing 2nd and 3rd gears.

Who asked you for your opinion on the shift ****?
Start your own thread on how much you love it if you do so much.
Give the guy a break and don't sh*t on HIS thread.
