Default Flooring = Guilt !!

How often do you drive hard in your C6? I find myself driving so hard and flooring the poor thing so frequently that I feel pity for car sometimes. I have to admit though, it feels really good when I do so. Does anybody share the same feelings??

By the looks of some of the other cars in your profile such as the Cobra and C32 Mercedes it looks like you don't mind flooring it sometimes. Perhaps you feel guilty because you floored it so many times during the breakin period. If you feel guilty about flooring it you can always drive your PT Cruiser.

The only time I'd feel guilty beating on it is when the factory warranty runs out and you gotta pay to fix something out of your pocket. We paid 50k for these cars so lets enjoy them and go through a few sets of tires.

The only time I feel guilty is when my Wife says "Please slow down" and I do.

I was at a party last weekend and gave about 10 rides back to back. Some very stoked people who have never felt the power of a car built to haul a$$ like the new C6 is!!!

I found a nice, no side street stretch of about a 1/4 mile to floor it on and then decelerate/hard brake for a tight right turn. I was powering up to about 80 and then used the last 100 yards to get on the brakes hard.

Then total power down for a 25 MPH cruise back to the house through a residential. Had some white knuckle passengers squealing!!! It was a blast!! The talk of the party was the new Vert. But I did feel a little guilty after.

Quotes "I have never felt anything like that in my life" "UGGGHHHHHH!!!!" "I felt my face melting" LOLOL

Cranked U2's song Vertigo before every run!!!

I live in L.A. I'm lucky if I can get it up 30 mph before I have to slow down.

I'm sure this is a switch...When I was younger I was much more conservative in terms of driving my vehicles. I felt that guilt that you describe. I think it was the way I was raised...always to respect things and make them last as long as possible.

I had a 99 Trans Am that I babyed as well as a few other vehicles before it.

My attitude has definitely changed with my C6 I drive it harder than any another vehicle I've ever owned....and it feels good. My thinking is...Life is short, you may as well enjoy. Hell, if I don't have fun with the car...then the next owner will and I would have missed out.

DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT.

No guilt. The car was built to run. A wee bit of paranoia though, don't want the city's revenue enhancers to get any of my money. They get more than enough in taxes as it is.
