2005 C-6 Corvette Bose Stereo System-anyone remember?
Correct me if I am wrong but at the time of order in picking out the Stereo system in the C-6 there were only 2 choices and the Bose Stereo System came with Bose Speakers and 6 indash CD player ..
BUT to get this particuliar stereo you had to order the navigation option????
Otherwise you got stuck with the other stereo the standard stereo system perhaps it is made by BOSE but it doesn't say that on the speakers like on the other system and is a single disk CD player.
Anybody remember this?

The 1SB package added the 6 disk changer and the ability to add XM... Also play MP3's... If you added NAV, it deleted the 6 disk changer but the speaks / amps / XM ability (if chosen) remained...
If you picked one of the 0ther 2 option packages, the radio changed...
I can't remember if you could get the 6 disk with the option package right under the 1SB...

Actually what I would like to know is was it possible to just order the 6 indash CD

I got the 1SA so I guess I had no choice but to get the base stereo

Bose does not make head units for any car. All they make is the speakers and amps that are designed to be integral with the speakers (on some cars - not sure about the Corvette). I know some cars head units say Bose on them, but they are not. Does this answer your question (I"m still not totally sure I understand the question).
The base car does not have Bose, 1SB comes with Bose. No other way to get Bose in a C6 - it is not a stand alone option. All "nav" cars have Bose - and you cannot get nav without 1SB.
