Windshield Update (Thanks Kerbeck!)
Well took the long trip down to Kerbeck this morning and had a much better outcome this time around. Got there, saw the guy Dave set the appointment up with, and he agreed it was a warranty issue. He said there were a lot of unknowns and that it did not look like a rock started the crack. They agreed to replace it under warranty and they would contact me in a couple weeks when the new windshield came in.
I just want to thank Dave for going to bat for me and getting me set up for a 2nd appointment to have someone else look at it. Kerbeck has earned my business in the future, be it service and/or sales. I was upset after the first visit, but they made it right this time around. Thanks to Kerbeck, Dave, and GM for stepping up to the plate on this one, I am a very happy and satisfied C6 owner now. Also, thanks again to everyone on here that supported me and gave me advice on this one.
PS. On the way home I got the message to "service charging system". Came on twice and I didn't see it again. I hope one problem didnt' get solved for another one to start.

Dave is the man. Glad Kerbeck came through for you.
You should add "full glass" to your insurance in case a rock does crack the windshield in the future. Doesn't cost much additional. I have "full glass" on all my cars.

Great job Kerbeck !
It is great to see that Dave, Kerbeck and Chevrolet
came through for you. This gives me a great feeling
that they are still some great dealers out there.
Great news. . . have a great weekend.

Bravo for C6 girl and Kerbeck in this case BUT the core issue remains. I wonder if all the feedback from the Forum helped? From what I can tell Dave is a stand up guy so no shot at him but it was the not so honorable service flunky with the ice pick at kerbeck's that made the situation much worse. However a win is a win!!!

I think it was the Forum that put this one over. Count the numbers of responses to the original post.

I'm sure that you are VERY happy to have a C-6 With the break-in miles done and not a single ding in the windshield....!!!!...It was like driving a "new" ride when mine was replaced ...Once again congratulations on the successful outcome of your ordeal.. .

Thanks everyone, now I feel so much better driving it knowing it will be replaced soon.
As for the insurance questions on the previous post, I did call mine and they said they have nothing to cover the glass or windshield specifically. I talk to several people there and they said I would have to do a property damage claim and pay the full comprehensive deductible. But that doesn't seem to matter anymore thankfully.

While I am happy they finally made good on their warrantee responsibility, I am not happy the way they handled it. A customer should not have to make two trips to the dealer, because the dealer has an incompetent service manager. Those were two long trips for C6 Girl, for a GM quality problem she should have had to deal with in the first place, let alone twice. Now she'll have to make a third trip to get the windshield actually replaced. What a waste of time.
Dave is losing sales with a service manager like this. I'd be getting together a list of digressions made by this service manager clown, and presenting it to the owner. If the owner is interested in future sales, he'll take appropriate action.
