Default Short Throw Shifter Question

I don't like the shifter in my F55 C6. Too long of a throw, and I have a problem with 3rd gear once in a while (long time stick shift driver). I am considering the B&M shifter. If you have installed a short throw shifter, do you like it? Any down side? Thanks.

Installed B&M last week. I like it but there is a very slight rattle in the shifter. Buy a two inch rubber plug at Lowes and place it at the base to reduce the rattle.

Also, if your dash currently has a squeak, line the edge of the silver piece with felt tape and it will be forever silent.

I have no rattle in mine but I am curious about which base you are refering to. Not the base of the shifter, no way to get it on without disassembly. Which base are you refering to?

Replace those rear bushings and the rattle should stop on the Hurst.

The base at the bottom of the shifter where the ball joint is.
