Anyone signed up for the OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics program via email?
I received an email about signing up for the OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics program. It will scan your Vette and send you an update on it each month by email.
It will send you the condition of your engine, air bag, antilock brake, and
OnStar systems.
Your current mileage, remaining oil life, and scheduled maintenance alerts.
The status of your OnStar subscription and the OnStar Hands-Free Calling minutes in your vehicle.
Anyone else doing this? I was considering it but haven't decided yet.

I think all the folks who are going to tell you that OnStar, GM, Bill Gates, Dick Cheney and the mayor of New Orleans will be able to track your every move while in the car, hear every conversation, know what size burger you order, and possibly read your thoughts, are just now inhaling in preparation for Hurricane Paranoia. Wait for it.

Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get you!

Getting back to your original point, it seems like an interesting service, and I would probably sign up. Is there an upcharge from the regular first year OnStar cost?

Signed up a couple of weeks ago, and have already received my first diagnostics. I think it is pretty cool and just another technological
advance which helps us take better care of cars.

I did. Then I received an e-mail from OnStar, telling me I have 10,000 miles on the C6. I had no idea I had that many miles. I had to go out to the garage and check. Sure enough, 10,000 miles. Just too much fun to drive.
I guess I won't be rolling back the odometer, now that OnStar documents my miles.

I signed up yesterday and got my first diagonstic this morning. They even tell you how many minutes left and your expiration date on your in car telephone. I think it is a great idea and am glad that I signed up for it.

Signing up for this service will put your supplied email address on a spam list, but I figure it's still worth it. I already get hundreds of spam emails every day -- what's a few more?

I signed up last week and got my first one the next day. Nice reminder of when I need my next oil change. It also tells me how many minutes I have left on the cell phone system.

No, I have not signed up for the service, but my C6 throws codes and breaks down often enough that they hear from me on a regular basis to do the remote vehicle diagnostics.
