Default Dan's (Exotic Vette Inc) cargo partition arrived...what a piece of

a brilliant idea and functionality . Nicely made and installs like a piece of cake...(for the GM monitors, I added the C6 symbol...did not come that way from Dan)>>> (yes the flash from the camera makes it look like the carpeting does not match...it does match)

To answer the question about fit with Lloyds cargo mat...no problem. In fact it works great... the piece of carpeting in front of the divider I just rolled under the cargo mat and gives it a nice finished look (see 3rd picture)...hatch closes as normal and does not touch the partition. And finally... it does make the stereo sound better...rear speakers now reflect off of the partition.
Highly recommend this to any coupe owner..

Looks good. Too bad it doesn't come in cashmere.

Michael,
Looks good. How much room (distance) is between the partition and the back of the front hump? It looks like the bottom is not flat. What I am trying to figure out is if I could set a small cooler (6 cans or so) behind the seats and in front of this partition.

Thanks.

Looks great! A couple questions... how does the roof panel fit with the divider in place? Does the divider seem to lower the noise level?
I'm 90% sold.

Neat. I was not interested in this partition until I saw the photos above. The guys that sell this product should use these photos on their website. Being able to put items (such as a cooler etc) in front of the partition is a very valuable thing. I had previously thought that the space in front of the partition was unuseable which initially turned me off to the product. In other pics I had seen, it appeared that the space in front of the partition was extremely small and not flat on the bottom. But this is apparently not the case.

My next question is how exactly does it attach to the car?

Default Had One For A Month

Great fit. Coupe top still stores. Room for small coolers, etc. Helps speaker tone. Muffles "trunk" area noise. Minimizes trunk cover flopping with top off and windows open. Matches charcoal trunk matting. Great product. Just drop it in...no screws or bolts, etc.

There is a lot of space between the partition and the front lip, that is what makes this a neat product. The partition just drops into place, and it is a nice tight fit, that keeps it from moving around. Installation is simple, takes 20 seconds. You can put a lot of stuff in the area created.

First off, Mike, if we ever meet up at a Cruise In or show I owe you drinks all night for the great post That emblem was a great idea!! It looks really nice!

These have literally 'flown' off the shelf over the last few days. I have ONE left. We ordered more ABS and will be making more but the next ones will not be ready until the first week of Nov (2 weeks from now). Feel free to check out the website for pics, although I will be updating the site to use new pics, including these!

The partition is made of ABS and is very strong and durable - I would bet you will not be able to break it without running it over with your car (and maybe not even then). It wieghs just under 6 lbs. It is only offered in Ebony right now, mostly because the rear interior of all C6's are Ebony, no matter the color of the front. I will add optional colors soon.

There is NO hardware involved in installing this. Similar to our C5 convertible/Z06 partition is stays in place by pressure-fit, but it does have special tabs to keep it in place. It will not come out of it's place! These will also fit in the C6 Z06!

There's pictures of the partition stored in the back of the coupe also on the website showing how it fits just perfectly to effectively seal off the rear area from 'prying hands' should you leave the top off and windows down with stuff in the back.

Orders can be placed at anytime, paypal/credit card by phone/check, will have about 50 more done the first week in Nov. Will offer $15 off to anyone who wants to send a post office Money Order.

Dan,
I am putting a Lloyds black cargo area mat back there. Do you think the ebony would look ok, or should I beg for a partition in black?
Good job!

Nice idea but appears 'not for golfers'....we need all that diagonal space for golf bags...

Michael, looks like a lot of room in front. Do you think the GM Cargo Tray would fit in front of the partition?
