Default Sway Bars

Does anybody know if the GM T1 sway bars will fit the C6???

I think the only issue is muffler clearance. Given the install pics I've seen on a C5, I think the bars should clear my GHL's with no problem.... just need to know if they fit.

OK, Guess I'll go first. What's a T1 sway bar? Is it stiffer than the Z51 or Z06 bars?

GM makes a stiffened suspension package for the C5 that is T1 legal in SCCA. T1 is basically a stock class in SCCA. There are very few mods that are allowed.... for the C6 in particular, they do allow the T1 suspension. The whole package would be overkill for street driving IMHO. But I think I can get away with just using the sway bars for track and street driving.

Here are pic's of the T1 sway bars on a C5:

I believe it was DRP that put a set of Hotchkis (spelling?) C5 sways on a C6. They said it cleared with B&B route 66. Different animal but gives you a glimmer of hope.

Dang, those are some serious sway bars. Don't think I could live with them on the street but I'm sure they lessen a huge amount of body roll at the track.

Well, obviously they are stiffer, and by quite a bit from the looks of them. Thanks for the explaination.
