Default Window Valet is in ..Thanks Top Down Tech

I just cannot let another moment go by without thanking Michael at Top Down Technology for the new C6 version of the Window Valet!!!

They have outdone themselves on the C6...

...no more programming required...

Order Window Valet for C6
Plug the Window Valet in
Done!!!!

Jami C6 is sooooo excited with her Christmas gift...

...and I look good too

3 presses on FOB unlock - windows down...
3 press on FOB lock - windows go up...
3 press on FOB lock when windows are already up - windows vent...

If this sounds like a commercial...
...it is...I am very impressed with this product...

I was so impressed last time I purchased the Window Valet (for StuzVette) I ran a special GP with cooperation of Top Down Tech and Ecklers...

...this product is worth the $159 all day...for convertible or coupe...!

peace
Stu

getting in coupe or convertible....
lowering the windows before getting in makes getting in easier...
...and in Florida cooler once you get in...
So also venting the windows is great...

...I can raise the top on the vert and without getting back in to sit there during the window closin...

Installed my Window Valet last week. Super mod and works great. This one has the option to vent windows which is nice.

Yep - plugged mine in to my '06 rag top yesterday - works as advertised. Had one in my '99 and forthe first few monts with my '06 I really missed the 'windows up' after shutting the car off feature. Can't imangine why this is not part of the standard C-6 body control software.

I really like mine too but I sure wish there was a way to stop the horn from going off on the second and third presses of the lock button.

Here's something I learned. I usually leave my keys in the car when it is in the garage so I decided to roll the windows up using the valet then throw the keys on the seat as the windows rolled up to see what happens.

By doing this I found that the valet over rides the system setting and locks the doors even though the keys are in the car. I thougt this could be helpful to someone.

...Window Valet is not responsible for the way you program your C6 to respond to lock and unlock FOB controls...

Having the horn set to silent via the fob has nothing to do with the Valet honking the horn on the 2nd fob lock button press.

Juat installed one on my car today. The horn honking when you activate the lock button three times (to roll-up or vent the windows) is VERY annoying. There are too many situations where this is unacceptable.

Just sent a not to Top Down Tech this eventing... we'll see what happens.

By the way... the "bonus feature" that lets you keep the accy power on after you turn off the car disables the auto-arm/lock of the car. You have to use the key FOB to tunr off the radio power and lock the car. IMHO, the feature should only work IF you yurn on the accy power.

I think that this is a Chevrolet problem. I have the silent lock on on my FOB on our '05 Tahoe, and it still will honk the horn if I press the lock button twice. It is very annoying on the vette. I wish that Top Down could have programmed this out, but they may not be able to.

I used my FOB so that it recognizes that it is Jami's FOB and not mine and sure enough it honks then and the computer is programmed to be silent when it sees her FOB...

...oh well...its not that big a deal...

Im just delighted that its here...
