C6 Tail Light Seals From Southern Car Parts

Drifting
I would like to give others a warning when installing these. They are nice seals and have a tight fit. Even with lubrication on the seal it pushed the retaining clip(what the screw goes into) out of its slot and into my rear bumper to be lost forever. Luckily only happened on one light. Now I am searching for a rust-proof retaining clip to hold my light in place.
-Same thing happened to me! but, I haven't tried to do the other three yet.

Melting Slicks
I had the same issue. After the first one, I removed the clips BEFORE re-installing the tail light and crimped them down with needle nose pliers to make them fit tighter. Then, install the light at an angle to try not to push the clip out.
The GOOD NEWS is you can get replacement clips at Home Depot.
They are labelled:
EVERBILT Brand
SPEED NUTS
#6-32
Type U
Plain Steel
They are not as wide as the "stock" ones, but will work.

I bought a set for my C6 from you. I do have a question though. I am planning on putting a rear spoiler on the car and wondered if the seals would interfere with the removal of the tail lights to gain access into the rear bumper cover ?

This looks like a great idea/product.. but.. since my C6 never gets wet, I have no need for the gaskets!

Holy crap! 11 years later and you still carry the same product. Must be pretty good to last this long. I may have to consider these.

Are they black or silver like they look in the pic?
