Default Vette Bra, Road Trip, Sand, Trash and Pictures

For those that use a Bra, maybe this is not all that usual. I have only used the Bra for a few out of town road trips and never had this much debris get behind it. The scares the hell out of me when I see all the sand that gets trapped behind it. The road trip was from Fredericksburg, VA down I95 to Orlando, FL and back over 6 days. So interstate driving only and no rain along the way.

Here are the pictures of what gets behind your Bra.

Bras do more harm than good if they are not perfectly snug. Same goes for cars..

Just think, all that sand and small pebbles would have struck your front end paint at 80MPH!!!! What do you think your paint on the car nose would look like then? Its defenitely better to use one on long trips but you do have to take them off and clean them frequently. Don't forget the mirror masks also! My 2c

I had one of those bras on a C4 and it ruined the clear coat underneath. When I discovered the 3M clear bra, there is no going back and worth every $.

I used a bra on my Honda that was being towed behind my motorhome. After one trip I never used it again. I had permanent damage from hot asphalt getting behind it.

Default Bra Info

Simple: take bra off, blow off with low air compressor and front paint too, put bra on old sheet on the floor dust off with broom n air comp, wash n polish where bra went on car, renstall bra...probally an hours work. Waaaaa! bet you guys don't even do your own oil changes. Geeze Louise times sure change....don't they...
MEMO: you have to do this everytime you go on an interstate trip or the friggin wind blows...
