Default Gm Recall By Vin website

For those of you who wonder if there is a recall on your car you can go to chevy.com/mygmlink once you register and put in the Vin it shows all service's you have done plus any recalls for your vehicle. It also has your manual online and a email service to warn you of any new recalls.Call 1-866-MY-GMLink to have them add the vin if your car is new or not accepted.Sorry for the confusion

That would be great if the website accepted the VIN #.

Thanks!

I keep adding my VIN but it's not taking it. I've checked and double checked it for correctness.

I had to send them an email and get them to put my VIN in the system. Lots of us had to do that. It's worth it though.

Default VIN Registration in MyGMlink

The system would never accept mine either. I tried for several months and finally gave them a call and they added it on the spot.

I had the same problem. Called their customer service and they added it for me. I was able to confirm that my car was not part of the fly wheel recall even though I'm within the VIN range. I also had the dealer check for me.

I do not understand: MY-GMLink part of the number. That makes eight digits instead of seven after 1-866.

The phone system ignores the extra digit.

Good advice, guys, thanks! I could not get my VIN accepted either because the car is less than 60 days old. Called the My GMLink number and they added it for me!

Default MY GM LINK - How lame can this be?

I signed up after reading the posts. The recall letters weren't available and there was no service history on my VIN. Am I wrong or are we responsible for filling this information in?

This site is no more than a thinly veiled selling opportunity for GM. I thought it was hilarious the 50/100/150K service intervals suggested I bring my car in anywhere from 50 to 300 years from now! A company that thinks ahead!
