Reduces air flow to radiator, side mount better, can run 10 degrees hotter.

I have to throw a flag on that one. Why then does my car not run hotter when not in motion? It seems to me with a cooling fan and thermostat controlling the system, the very limited impact of the plate frame would be negligible.

But that said, what temp do you believe the car should run as a general rule and I will check it against my own.

In regards to air flow this statement is not true, the air flows around the bracket

I have had this bracket mounted on both of my C6's and never saw any temp increase.

On the RVETTE car do you have to remove the mesh grille insert to install? I have one like theirs on my GS........thanks, Marcus
