I was just about ready to pull the trigger on a bracket for my 427 until I read this post. I am not so sure buying something that has to be modified to keep it from destroying the paint is such a great idea. Is this typical for the TFR brackets for the 427? I don't even want a front plate and may take my chances on a ticket first.....

How is it now that you have had it a while?

I like how there are no screws!!! In MA. you should have a front plate but Ill pay the ticket, before I put screws through my new vette. But this isn't to bad?? Looks better than I thought It would!!

On the removable bracket for the base C6, does the bottom edge of the bracket contact the bumper below the grill, or is there a small gap between the bracket & the bumper?

I just wanted to let you know that we are a very satisfied customer. We used your front plate kit on our '08 coupe and were so satisfied that I installed it on our 427 convertible the day I brought it home from the dealer. It is the only front license plate mount that actually looks like it was designed to compliment the front of a C6 Corvette.

We install a foam strip on the back side of the bracket and there is typically and 1/8 of an inch gap between the bumper and the foam strip

Ordered the bracket and 2 black frames today. Cannot wait for them to get here. Did not know what I was going to do about front plate till I found this. It look great in the pictures.

I would want the removable system for my C6 Grand Sport. However, I'm not clear as to what it would look like without the plate attached? Do I still have the bracket showing or what hardware is transparent?

You would remove the license plate bracket via 2 wing nuts, the only thing that stay attached to the car is a flat plate and two threaded studs, which would not be visible if you were standing in front of the car
