(PIX) Ace Slick/C6 Z06 Brakes
edit:sorry for the low quality pix. i will take better ones later on in better lighting.
this is my 07 coupe with just a few delivery miles. upgraded the suspension with C6 Z06 springs/sway bars/shocks/ and brakes. had to go with a wheel that would fit over the brakes. they are hyper black Ace wheels.
sizes are: 18x9.5 255-40-18 BFG
19x11 295-35-19 BFG
its a tight fit but they do fit over the brakes nicely.
i have a wide body conversion waiting and will space out the rear wheels to match untill CCW comes out with the 19" corsair
enjoy

I've got almost the same setup, but I don't have the BFG tires yet....still have the Toyos on. What's your impression of the BFG's? How's the ride and noise level?
Car looks great, BTW.

thanks for the compliments guys. Bone daddy, your thoughtful write up on these wheels is why i bought them.
to answer some questions, i only put 10-15 miles on the O.E. tires but these BFG's seem to run quieter. i never got to push the GY tires and i have not pushed these to tell yet as i am still in the break in period, but their size advantage alone tells me these will probably hook much better and corner better.
the suspension feels awesome and the brakes are very reassuring and pleasant

I've had the tucked, boring stock wheels....the overpriced multi-piece forged wheels......and the too-heavy, blingy chrome wheels. I just showed my buddy the new Ace rims, and he said, "You're done. These things are perfect for the Vette."
Now, he's even more of a "car guy" than I am, and I have to agree with him. The different sets of wheels I've had on the car have never looked right to me until these. They have a simple, classic yet aggressive feel to them, not unlike the beautifully designed rim pictured below. I really don't think the Vette needs more than these.

Ace is the wheel company that produces these wheels. Slick is the name of this wheel. they name all their wheels and have about 10 different models but this is the only one that will fit a vette

very nice vette burton.
the only thing i dont like about the Z wheels is that i want a 13" rear. im leaning hard on the side of the Z wheels though
