Default NCM Delivery area hotels?

I'm picking up my first ever Vette on Oct 9th at the Corvette Museum. I was planing to drive from Chattanooga to Bowling Green to pickup the car at 7:45 AM. But I started thinking that maybe it would be better to get a room in Bowling Green Sunday night so I don't have to worry about getting there on time.

Does anyone know of a hotel my dad and I could stay at for the night. It doesn't need to be anything but clean and cheap since we just need to sleep there for the night.

I figured someone around here would know of a hotel that wouldn't gross us out.

Thanks!

First - Congrats !
Second, there are a number of hotels that will do:
  • Country Hearth - Across parking lot from museum
  • Hampton Inn - One Exit south on I-65, Has NCM rate (This is where I stayed)
  • Marriott Courtyard - Same as Hampton Inn
  • Good B&B run by Museum Dir - Search for CF on Museum Del. for the name
  • Call NCM for more info - They're very helpful

Say ColdBrew - We'd recommend The Bryce Inn on 592 Main St. Smiths Grove, KY. telephone 270.563.2023. They are 10 minutes away from the Factory/Museum. Real nice folks - Bob & Jackie Lightfoot. Cater to Corvette types and all our quirks to boot! lennyg.

Stayed at Hampton Inn, used NCM discount. It was clean, and breakfast was included. And, there are a lot of places to eat right around the hotel. Stores, mall, and gas stations are right around there as well.

Stayed there over Labor Day. No hassles, good staff, clean room.

Breakfast wasn't bad either.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn when I was there last week. It was great. Make sure to mention the NCM for the discount when you make the reservation. There are plenty of places to eat dinner right near the Hotel too; and the NCM is about 7 minutes away. It is on a pretty big commercial strip with all the usual chain restaurants.
There are one or two hotels right next to the NCM, but there aren't really any places to grab a bite to eat around there. I do remember seeing a Wendys, but not much else.

I can't give you a recommendation since I've never been to BG before, but we've also got a museum delivery on the 9th (except we're 11:15am). Based on all the research we did, the Hampton seemed to be the place to stay.

Good Luck and congratulations on the new ride

I've stayed at the Continetal Inn many times. It's between the museum and the factory. I never had a bad experience. Jerry's is a good place for breakfast and it's right next to the hotel.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn. I heard they've done a remodel. It was nice when I stayed there before the remodel.

We stayed at the Microtel one exit south of the NCM. Clean, cheap, free wireless Internet and continental breakfast.

Country Hearth is a 9 Iron from the front door, you will want to be close just to feel the heat coming off her

Default Great place to stay

For the complete NCM / Corvette experience, I highly recommend staying with the Big Guy, Wendell Strode, Executive Director of the NCM. The Bed and Breakfast (1869 Homestead) run by his lovely wife and him is just down the road from the NCM. Their hospitality, breakfast, and home were superb.

You can read more about my experience staying there and our adventure getting home at:

Have a terrific time! You'll have a blast!

The Hampton has a PC set up for guest use in the lobby with web access. When you have trouble getting to sleep, you can post on the forum or go look at the NCM webcams.

I also vote for the Hampton Inn. I had a great experience there and the best part is there was a Bob Evans right next door.
